What are the TikTok Creator Rewards Program requirements?

TikTok's account rules: you are 18 or older, you live in one of eight countries with your account registered there, you use a public personal account, you are in good standing, and you have at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. All of it comes from TikTok's eligibility page.

When you meet all of them, open TikTok Studio from your profile menu, tap Creator Rewards Program and apply. TikTok says you'll hear back within three days (TikTok).

Which videos earn Creator Rewards?

Each video must also qualify on its own: original, high quality, over 1 minute long, with at least 1,000 views on the For You feed. Duets, Stitches, Photo Mode posts, and any ad, paid promotion or sponsored video earn nothing from the program, according to TikTok's program page.

  • Length: over 1 minute. A 59-second video earns nothing from the program, whatever its views.
  • Format: no Duets, Stitches or Photo Mode. TikTok also lists slide videos, split screens and low-effort reactions as low quality.
  • Resolution: TikTok advises 1080p or higher.

TikTok then pays only on qualified views. A qualified view lasts at least 5 seconds, comes from a viewer in one of the eight program countries, isn't fraudulent or paid, and counts once per viewer account. Disliked views don't count, and Search views need 30 seconds of watch time (TikTok). So you're paid on fewer views than the counter under your video shows. For what those views are worth, see how much TikTok pays per 1,000 views.

Which countries are eligible for TikTok Creator Rewards in 2026?

As of October 2026, TikTok lists eight countries: the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil. You must be based in one of them with your account registered there. Viewer location matters too: only views from people in those eight countries count as qualified views (TikTok).

Not on TikTok's list as of October 2026: Canada, Australia, Spain, Italy, Nigeria, the Philippines, Pakistan, South Africa, Kenya and every other country outside the eight.

Why can't so many creators join?

Three rules stop many new and international creators: the country list, the 10,000-follower and 100,000-view bar, and the 1-minute rule. If you live outside the eight countries, no amount of growth gets you in. The other two take time, and the 1-minute rule also limits which kinds of videos can be paid at all.

  • Both numbers at once. A new account can have a video reach a million views and still not qualify without 10,000 followers.
  • The 1-minute rule. Quick tips, short skits and slideshows earn nothing from the program.
  • Account type. Business accounts are out, and switching to personal starts a 30-day wait.

What are the alternatives if you don't qualify?

A realistic Creator Rewards alternative is one of three routes: other TikTok programs that pay per deal, sale or gift; YouTube's Shorts revenue sharing; or brand-funded campaigns that pay per 1,000 views on your own posts. None is guaranteed income: you earn only when views come in and the rules are met.

Other TikTok programs. TikTok also offers Subscription, LIVE Gifts, Video Gifts, TikTok Shop and TikTok One (TikTok). TikTok One is its brand-deal marketplace: you need to be 18 or older and in a supported region, and projects ask for at least 1,000 followers, plus whatever the brand adds (TikTok). These pay per deal, sale or gift, not per view.

YouTube Shorts. One way into the YouTube Partner Program is 1,000 subscribers and 10 million qualified Shorts views in the last 90 days, plus a policy review (YouTube Help). Creators keep 45% of the Shorts ad revenue allocated to them (YouTube Help). The bar is high, but the program's availability list is much longer than TikTok's and includes Canada, Nigeria, the Philippines and Pakistan (YouTube Help). From Feb 1, 2027, the 10 million bar becomes a monthly condition for earning Shorts ad revenue (YouTube Help).

Brand-funded pay-per-view campaigns. A brand or app owner funds a budget and pays a set rate per 1,000 views on videos you post to your own account. The campaign, not TikTok, decides who can join and what counts. Whop's Content Rewards works this way: the brand sets the rate per 1,000 views and adds funds to the campaign budget, and the campaign goes active once payment processes (Whop docs). Markapping will work this way for mobile apps once it opens.

How do Creator Rewards and the alternatives compare?

The table puts each option side by side, as published or reported on Oct 18, 2026. They don't count the same thing: TikTok pays on qualified views, YouTube shares a pool of ad revenue, and per-view campaigns pay on the views each campaign counts. Compare the entry bar first, then the rate.

What should you never do to get into Creator Rewards?

Don't use a VPN, buy a US account, or borrow someone's tax ID to get around the country rule. TikTok requires you to be based in an eligible country, bans fraud and tampering, and says permanently banned accounts forfeit any outstanding rewards (TikTok). Money earned that way can simply vanish.

In August 2025, Indicator reported, with the Brazilian outlet Lupa, on Brazilian TikTok creators teaching followers to use VPNs, digital phones and tax IDs to earn higher Creator Rewards payouts. US accounts were sold at a premium in WhatsApp groups, along with the ID and tax documents needed to cash out.

  • Bought views, followers or engagement pods. TikTok lists artificial engagement as a reason an account is ineligible.
  • Reposting other people's videos. TikTok lists copied content with minimal original input as ineligible.

Where does Markapping fit if you don't qualify?

Markapping is a pay-per-view creator marketing platform for mobile apps: app owners fund a campaign and pay creators for every 1,000 views their videos get on TikTok and Instagram Reels. It is not live yet. Creators can join the waitlist now. Payout methods and supported countries will be confirmed before the panels open.

  • Paid per counted view, not per follower. Counted views divided by 1,000, times the campaign's rate (from $1.00), up to its limits, plus any bonus. You keep 95%.
  • Written rules. Each campaign says who can join (open, by application, or invite-only). An app owner can only reject a video for breaking a written rule, and must name it and give a reason.
  • Your account. You post on your own TikTok or Instagram account with the paid partnership label on. Official login is read-only; Markapping never posts for you.
  • Money first. App owners pay the full budget before a campaign goes live, so the money for your views exists before you post.
  • Web only. It works in your phone's browser, with no app to install.

It does not cover YouTube, X or Facebook. For the full creator flow, see Markapping for creators and how to get paid to promote apps.

Questions

How many followers do you need for TikTok Creator Rewards?

10,000 followers, plus 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. You also need to be 18 or older, on a public personal account, and based in one of the eight program countries. Each video must also run over 1 minute and reach 1,000 For You views.

Which countries are eligible for TikTok Creator Rewards in 2026?

As of October 2026, TikTok lists the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil. You must be based in one of them with your account registered there. Some third-party lists differ, so go by TikTok's own page and check your status in TikTok Studio.

Can you make money on TikTok outside the US?

Yes. Creator Rewards also runs in seven other countries. Elsewhere, TikTok One brand deals, TikTok Shop and LIVE Gifts may be open to you depending on your region, and TikTok Studio shows your status. Brand-funded pay-per-view campaigns are another route, since each campaign sets its own rules.

Do videos under 1 minute earn Creator Rewards?

No. TikTok pays only on original videos over 1 minute long with at least 1,000 For You views. Duets, Stitches, Photo Mode posts and sponsored videos are excluded too. Short videos can still earn through brand deals or pay-per-view campaigns.

What replaced the TikTok Creator Fund?

The Creator Rewards Program. Metricool reports that TikTok discontinued the Creator Fund in 2023. If you want a Creator Fund alternative because you don't meet the Creator Rewards rules, look at TikTok One, YouTube Shorts or brand-funded per-view campaigns.

Is it OK to use a VPN or a US account to join?

No. TikTok requires you to be based in an eligible country with your account registered there, bans fraud, and says permanently banned accounts lose outstanding rewards. Indicator has reported on a trade in US accounts and tax IDs aimed at this program. It puts both your account and your earnings at risk.

Do I need to qualify for Creator Rewards to use Markapping?

No. Markapping is not part of TikTok's programs. App owners pay you per counted view, at their campaign's rate, on videos you post to your own account with the paid partnership label on. It isn't live yet. Join the creator waitlist; payout methods and countries will be confirmed before the panels open.
