Is Markapping a good Clipster alternative for app campaigns?

Yes, if you market an iOS or Android app, want creators to make their own videos about it, and want to pay for installs, trials or subscriptions as well as views. But Markapping opens soon. If you need YouTube or X, clips of existing footage, or a platform with a track record today, Clipster is the stronger choice.

Clipster is a platform where brands pay creators for the views their short-form videos earn. It launched in March 2025 and is based in Dubai, according to Net Influencer.

What does each cost? A worked example

Clipster's home page FAQ lists a 20% fee but doesn't say whether it is added to your budget or taken out of it. Markapping adds 10% on top and keeps 5% of what creators earn. Here is $1,000 of creator views worked out both ways, so you know what to ask.

Example only, at $1.00 per 1,000 views. Ask Clipster which reading applies to your quote.

Clipster says it has no setup fees, retainers or long-term contracts. Markapping has no subscription or monthly plan at launch, but needs at least $500 per campaign, paid up front. FindClout, a competing network, reports that Clipster quotes pricing per campaign. Full Markapping math is on the pricing page.

Where is Clipster the better choice?

Clipster is the better pick if you want to launch this week, need YouTube or X, or have footage worth clipping. It is live, says it has paid creators more than $10 million, and offers a managed service and TikTok ad codes. As of October 2026, this is where Clipster is ahead.

When does Markapping fit app campaigns better?

Markapping fits app owners who want original videos about their app on creators' own accounts, labeled as ads, and who want to pay for installs, trials or subscriptions as well as views. It is built only for iOS and Android apps. The tradeoff: it is not live yet and needs $500 up front.

  • Apps only. You verify ownership through App Store Connect or Google Play Console. See how campaigns work on Markapping for apps.
  • No footage needed. Creators make their own video about your app, following your written rules. More in our guide to clipping campaigns for apps.
  • Bonuses for results. An optional bonus per install, trial or paid subscription, each with its own price.
  • Labeled as ads. The paid partnership or branded content label must be on. Here is how the label works.
  • Clear rejection rules. You can only reject a video for breaking a rule written in the campaign, and you must name the rule and give a reason.
  • Install-lift estimate. Analytics show spend, counted views, top videos and an install-lift figure, clearly labeled as an estimate.

Does Clipster run app campaigns?

Yes, though apps are one market among many. Clipster runs a separate Discord server for app campaigns, listed as Clipster App Campaigns with about 9,300 members on October 18, 2026. Its website has a page for music but none for apps.

For an app, two details matter. Clipping campaigns cut clips from source material you provide, so an app without a podcast or show may need a UGC campaign instead. And Clipster lists no pay type tied to installs.

For creators: how much does Clipster pay, and how is Markapping different?

Both pay per view, and both take 5% from creators: Clipster on each withdrawal, Markapping on earnings. The bigger differences are which views count and when you are paid. On Clipster, only views after you submit count, and payouts follow the campaign's end. On Markapping, views count from posting, and each video is paid after its own window.
