How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views in 2026?

TikTok pays creators through its Creator Rewards Program, and creators report earning about $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views as of October 2026 (Soundstripe, Fourthwall). TikTok publishes no fixed rate, counts only qualified views from eight countries, and requires 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in 30 days and videos over 1 minute. Below: the math for 10K to 1M views, why the rate moves, and how pay-per-view campaigns compare.

How much does TikTok pay per 1,000 views?

As of October 2026, creators report earning about $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views from TikTok's Creator Rewards Program. That works out to $0.0004 to $0.001 per view. TikTok does not publish a rate. It calls the number RPM, the average gross revenue per 1,000 qualified views, and it changes from video to video.

So yes, TikTok pays for views, but only qualified views on eligible videos from eligible accounts. Treat every figure above as an estimate: it comes from creators sharing their own payouts, not from TikTok. A page quoting a few cents per 1,000 views is likely describing the old Creator Fund, which TikTok discontinued in the US, UK, France and Germany on December 16, 2023. Hank Green reported about 2.5 cents per 1,000 views under it (Engadget).

What counts as a qualified view on TikTok?

A qualified view is a view TikTok pays on. It must last at least 5 seconds, come from one of the eight program countries, and not be fraudulent or paid. Repeat views from one account count once. So your paid number is lower than the public view count, sometimes by a lot.

  • Watch time: at least 5 seconds. Views from Search need at least 30 seconds.
  • One per account: repeat views from the same account count as one view.
  • Not interested: views where the viewer taps "I'm not interested" are left out.
  • Viewer location: the viewer must be in the US, UK, Germany, France, Japan, South Korea, Mexico or Brazil.
  • No paid views: fraudulent views, paid views and View Boost views don't count. Ads, paid promotions and sponsored content don't qualify at all.

Those rules come from TikTok's own definition. How big is the gap in practice? Soundstripe suggests planning on 50% as a rough benchmark, not a fixed rule, and says the share is typically 50% to 70%. Its examples run from about 70% for a trending US video down to 30% for a viral clip with heavy bot activity.

How much do 10K, 100K and 1 million TikTok views pay?

At the reported $0.40 to $1.00 rate, 10,000 qualified views pay about $4 to $10, 100,000 pay $40 to $100, and 1 million pay $400 to $1,000. If only 50% to 70% of your public views qualify, the real number is lower. The table adds pay-per-view campaign math at $1, $2 and $3 per 1,000 views.

Example math, not a promise. Campaign columns show what the creator keeps after Markapping's 5%, before any campaign caps.
ViewsCreator Rewards, all views qualifyCreator Rewards, 50-70% qualifyCampaign at $1 per 1KAt $2 per 1KAt $3 per 1K

500,000$200-$500$100-$350$475$950$1,425
1,000,000$400-$1,000$200-$700$950$1,900$2,850

These are two different systems. Creator Rewards pays on qualified views of your own original videos, at a rate TikTok works out after the fact. A pay-per-view campaign pays a rate the app owner sets before you post. The $2 and $3 columns are example rates: on Markapping the floor is $1.00 per 1,000 views, and each campaign sets its own.

Why do country and niche change TikTok's rate?

TikTok says your base reward depends on where your viewers are and the language of your content (TikTok). A bonus on top, the Additional Reward, rises with watch time, retention, completion rate and search value. TikTok adds that audiences with more buying power, often older viewers, can lift payouts (TikTok).

The country figures are reported by Elev8or from creator payouts and ad demand, not published by TikTok. The program list is TikTok's own. Niche matters too: Soundstripe reports finance and tech creators at or above $1.00 per 1,000, in some cases around $1.50, while entertainment and comedy sit near $0.40 (Soundstripe).

Who can join Creator Rewards, and how many views do you need?

You need a personal TikTok account in good standing, to be 18 or older, to live in one of the eight program countries, and to have at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. After that, each video must be over 1 minute and get at least 1,000 For You feed views to earn.

  • Age: 18 or older.
  • Location: based in, with an account registered in, the US, UK, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico or Brazil.
  • Account type: personal accounts only. Business accounts and political or government accounts don't qualify.
  • Audience: at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.
  • Standing: no tampering or fraud. Five video violations in 30 days makes an account ineligible.
  • Each video: original, over 1 minute, at least 1,000 For You views, and not a Duet, Stitch, Photo Mode post or sponsored video.

Those are TikTok's rules as of October 2026 (TikTok Creator Academy). You apply in TikTok Studio, and TikTok says you'll hear back within three days. For the full checklist and what to do from outside the program, read TikTok Creator Rewards requirements and alternatives.

What if you don't qualify for Creator Rewards?

If you live outside the eight program countries or have fewer than 10,000 followers, Creator Rewards is closed to you for now. You can still earn from TikTok videos. TikTok runs its own subscription, gift, TikTok Shop and brand-deal programs, and outside companies run campaigns that pay a set rate per 1,000 views on videos you post.

Pay-per-view campaigns are the closest match to Creator Rewards math, because you still earn per 1,000 views. The difference is who pays and why: a company pays you to post about its product, and TikTok requires the content disclosure toggle on branded content (TikTok Branded Content Policy). How does a pay-per-view campaign on Markapping compare?

Markapping is a pay-per-view creator marketing platform for mobile apps: app owners fund a campaign and pay creators for every 1,000 views their videos get on TikTok and Instagram Reels. The rate is set before you post, from $1.00 per 1,000 views, and the budget is paid up front. Markapping is not live yet; it opens soon.

Example: you post one video in a campaign paying $1.50 per 1,000 views, and it gets 100,000 counted views in the window. That's $150, and you keep $142.50 after Markapping's 5%. View earnings become payable after the counting window ends and checks are done. Install, trial or subscription bonuses, if a campaign offers them, are paid separately a few days later.

Each campaign sets its own rate (at least $1.00 per 1,000 views) and may cap what one video or one creator can earn. Install, trial or subscription bonuses are paid on top and are not included here.

One thing you can't do is earn both on the same video. TikTok says sponsored content doesn't qualify for Creator Rewards, and every Markapping campaign video carries the paid partnership label. If you qualify for Creator Rewards, keep your own videos there and post campaign videos as separate posts. See how the paid partnership label works, or join the creator waitlist.

Questions

Does TikTok pay $1 per 1,000 views?

Sometimes, at the top of the range. Creators report $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views from Creator Rewards, and finance or tech videos with mostly US viewers can reach $1.00 or more. Entertainment videos and views from lower-paying countries usually earn less. TikTok doesn't publish a rate, so treat any figure as an estimate.

Does TikTok pay $1,000 for 1 million views?

Only if all 1 million views qualify and your RPM hits $1.00. Qualified views are often 50% to 70% of the public count, so 1 million public views works out to roughly $200 to $700 at reported rates. On a pay-per-view campaign at $1.00 per 1,000, 1 million counted views is $1,000, or $950 after Markapping's 5%, if the budget and caps allow it.

How many views do you need to make $100 on TikTok?

With Creator Rewards at $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views, $100 takes 100,000 to 250,000 qualified views, plus the 10,000 followers needed to join. On a pay-per-view campaign at $1.00 per 1,000, 100,000 counted views pays $100 and you keep $95. At $2.00 per 1,000, you would need about 53,000 counted views to keep $100.

Does TikTok pay for likes, comments or followers?

No. Creator Rewards pays on qualified views, not likes or followers. Engagement still matters indirectly: TikTok says the Additional Reward rises with watch time, retention, completion rate and search value, and followers decide whether you can join at all, with 10,000 as the minimum. Pay-per-view campaigns also pay per counted view, not per follower.

Does TikTok pay for slideshows or videos under 1 minute?

Not through Creator Rewards. TikTok says eligible videos must be over 1 minute and can't be made with Photo Mode, and it lists slide videos as low quality. Short videos can still grow your account. On Markapping, each campaign lists its rules, and an app owner can only reject a video for breaking one of them, with a reason.

Can I earn Creator Rewards and campaign pay on the same video?

No. TikTok says ads, paid promotions and sponsored content don't qualify for Creator Rewards. Markapping campaign videos are posted on your own account with the paid partnership label on, so they earn from the campaign only. You can keep posting your own videos for Creator Rewards alongside separate campaign videos.

Is Markapping live, and does it pay in my country?

Not yet. Markapping opens soon, and creators can join the waitlist now. It is web only, in English, and works in your phone or computer browser with no app to install. Payout methods and supported countries will be confirmed before the panels open, so check those before you plan around it.
