Get paid per view for videos about apps

Getting paid per view means you earn a set rate for every 1,000 views your video gets, instead of a flat fee per post. Markapping is a pay-per-view creator marketing platform for mobile apps: app owners fund a campaign and pay creators for every 1,000 views their videos get on TikTok and Instagram Reels. Campaign rates start at $1.00. Markapping is opening soon, and creators can join the waitlist.

What does "get paid per view" mean?

Getting paid per view means your pay follows how many people watch your video, not the fact that you posted it. Rates are quoted per 1,000 views, a price advertisers call CPM (cost per mille). Example: at $1.50 per 1,000 views, a video with 40,000 counted views earns $60 before any fee.

Nobody pays per single view: at $1.00 per 1,000, one view is a tenth of a cent. What matters is counted views, the views that fall inside the payer's rules.

There are two kinds of payer. A platform program, like TikTok's Creator Rewards, publishes no fixed rate, according to Soundstripe. A brand campaign writes its rate down before you post. Markapping is the second kind, only for mobile apps.

Does TikTok or Instagram pay for views in 2026?

TikTok does, through its Creator Rewards Program, but only for accounts and videos that qualify. Instagram has no open per-view rate for Reels; its bonuses are invite-only. Brand campaigns are the third option: an advertiser sets a rate per 1,000 views, and creators the campaign accepts can earn it. Here is how they compare as of October 2026.

Who paysRate per 1,000 viewsWho can earn itWhat doesn't count
TikTok Creator RewardsAbout $0.40-$1.00 per 1K qualified views, reported by Soundstripe and Fourthwall; no official rateReported requirements: 18+, a personal account, 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in the last 30 days and a supported country, per Fourthwall. The country list changes, so check TikTok StudioVideos under 1 minute, ads, paid promotions and sponsored content, repeat views from one account, views under 5 seconds, per Fourthwall
Instagram bonusesNo public rateInvited creators only, for a limited time (Instagram)Outside a bonus, plain Reels views earn $0, reported by ClickAnalytic
Per-view brand campaigns on other marketplaces$0.20-$6 per 1K across public listings, $0.80-$2 for standard brand campaigns, as of Aug 2026 (OpenClip)Set by each campaignViews outside the campaign's rules, caps or window

One catch: Fourthwall reports that videos with ads, paid promotions or sponsored content don't qualify for Creator Rewards, so a sponsored video is paid by the sponsor, not by TikTok. ClickAnalytic reports that Instagram also leaves branded content out of its own payouts. For the full numbers, see how much TikTok pays per 1,000 views and whether Instagram pays for Reels views.

How does a Markapping campaign pay creators?

Markapping is a pay-per-view creator marketing platform for mobile apps: app owners fund a campaign and pay creators for every 1,000 views their videos get on TikTok and Instagram Reels. The app owner sets the rate, counting window, bonus and rules for each campaign, and pays its budget before it goes live.

  • Rate per 1,000 views: from $1.00, set by the app owner. While a campaign is live the rate can only go up; a new rate applies to views after the change, and you're notified.
  • Counting window: 7, 14 or 30 days after your video is approved. Views count from the moment you post.
  • Bonus (optional): a separate price for each install, trial or paid subscription your video brings in.
  • Limits (optional): the most one video can earn, the most one creator can earn, a minimum view count before anything is paid, and a cap on the number of videos.
  • Who can join: open to everyone, by application, or invite-only. Some campaigns review a draft before you post, and some hand out premium codes so you can use the app.
  • Fee: joining is free. Markapping keeps 5% of what you earn, and you keep 95%.

The app owner pays the full budget, plus Markapping's platform fee, before the campaign goes live, so the money for your views exists before you film. Each app owner's first campaign is reviewed by the Markapping team, and app ownership is verified through App Store Connect or Google Play Console. Fees for both sides are on the pricing page.

How much can you earn per 1,000 views? The math

Divide counted views by 1,000, multiply by the campaign's rate, then take off Markapping's 5%. At $1.00 per 1,000 views, 100,000 counted views earn $100 and you keep $95. The table runs three view counts at three example rates. They are worked examples, not promises: each campaign sets its own rate.

Example earnings from views alone, before any bonus (gross / after the 5% fee)

$142.50

Each campaign sets its own rate (at least $1.00 per 1,000 views) and may cap what one video or one creator can earn. Install, trial or subscription bonuses are paid on top and are not included here.

Working backwards: to keep $100 at $1.00 per 1,000 views, you need just over 105,000 counted views ($105.26 minus 5% is $100). At $2.00 per 1,000, just over 52,600. For comparison, the reported Creator Rewards range of $0.40-$1.00 per 1,000 qualified views puts 100,000 qualified views at $40-$100 (Soundstripe).

Bonuses sit on top. Example: a campaign pays $1.50 per 1,000 views plus a $1.00 bonus per paid subscription. A video with 60,000 counted views and 8 tracked subscriptions earns $90 from views and $8 in bonuses: $98, or $93.10 after the 5%. The bonus is paid separately, when that data comes in.

What counts as a view, and why do bought views earn $0?

A counted view is one the platform reports for your video, inside the campaign's window, on a video that follows the rules. On Instagram, it's the number the app shows as "views". The video must be on your own account with the paid partnership or branded content label on. Fake views never count.

How Markapping reads your views depends on how you connect. With the official TikTok or Instagram login, access is read-only and Markapping never posts for you. If you verify with a short code in your bio instead, views are read from your public video pages and the account is marked less reliable.

  • No label, no pay: see how to turn on the paid partnership label.
  • A video on an account that isn't yours earns nothing.
  • Views after the counting window aren't paid.
  • A video held by the fake-view check isn't paid unless a person clears it.

Every video gets a fake-view check. After the counting window, the Markapping team reviews videos in a 3-day check. Suspicious videos are held, a person makes the final call, and you can appeal once. Don't buy views, use bots or join engagement groups: that is exactly what the check looks for.

TikTok filters views too. Fourthwall reports that its program counts one view per account, skips views under 5 seconds, and leaves out paid and fraudulent views. Soundstripe notes the 5-second floor is creator consensus, not a published TikTok number.

Why can a payout be lower than views x rate?

Because only counted views inside the campaign's limits are paid. The counting window, a cap per video or per creator, a minimum view count and the remaining budget can all make your payout smaller than total views times the rate. Check a campaign's rate, window and limits before you post.

What can lower a payout (examples)
ReasonWhat happensExample
Counting windowViews after the 7, 14 or 30-day window aren't paidYour video has 150,000 views when a 14-day window ends and 220,000 a month later: the campaign pays for 150,000
Max per videoEarnings stop at the capA $50 cap at $1.00 per 1K stops paying at 50,000 views
Max per creatorYour total in the campaign stops at the capThree videos earn $40 each, but a $100 creator cap pays $100
Minimum viewsNothing is paid below the minimumWith a 5,000-view minimum, a 3,000-view video earns $0
Budget runs outThe campaign closes to new videos and waits 7 daysIf topped up, counting continues; if not, it closes, and earnings so far are still reviewed and paid
RejectionA rejected video isn't paidThe app owner must name the written campaign rule you broke and give a reason

Two rules help you. Views count from the moment you post, but the window starts at approval, so a slow review doesn't cut it short. And a video the app owner doesn't review within 48 hours is approved automatically.

Caps are common elsewhere too: Whop's Content Rewards docs describe a maximum payout per video and a minimum before a video reaches review (checked Oct 18, 2026).

How do you start getting paid per view on Markapping?

Markapping isn't open yet, so the first step today is the creator waitlist on the Markapping for creators page. When the panels open, it takes five steps, all in your phone or computer browser, with no app to install. Each campaign sets its own rate, window and rules.

  1. 01

    Connect your account

Log in with TikTok or Instagram (read-only; Markapping never posts for you), or verify with a short code in your bio.

  2. 02

Pick a campaign and read it

Check the rate, counting window, caps, bonus and written rules. Some campaigns include a premium code so you can use the app.

  3. 03

    Use the app, then post

Post on your own account with the paid partnership label on (send a draft first if the campaign asks). The FTC says you can't talk about experience with a product you haven't tried, and a platform's label may not be enough, so say it's an ad in the video too.

  4. 04

Send your video and let it count

The app owner approves videos automatically or by hand; videos not reviewed within 48 hours are approved automatically. Your 7, 14 or 30-day window starts at approval.

  5. 05

    Get paid after the checks

View earnings become payable once the window ends and the checks are done. Bonuses are paid separately, a few days later, when install, trial or subscription data comes in.

Questions

Does TikTok pay for views?

Yes, through the Creator Rewards Program, if you qualify. Fourthwall reports the requirements: 18 or older, a personal account, 10,000 followers, 100,000 views in the last 30 days, a supported country, and original videos of at least 1 minute. Creators report about $0.40-$1.00 per 1,000 qualified views (Soundstripe). TikTok publishes no fixed rate.

Does Instagram pay for Reels views?

Not at an open rate. Instagram's bonuses are invite-only and run for a limited time (Instagram), and ClickAnalytic reports that a plain Reel earns $0 per 1,000 views outside a bonus. To get paid per view on Reels, you need a brand campaign that sets its own rate, such as a Markapping campaign once it opens.

How many views do I need to make $100?

At $1.00 per 1,000 views, 100,000 counted views earn $100, and you keep $95 after Markapping's 5%. To keep a full $100 you need just over 105,000 counted views, or just over 52,600 at $2.00 per 1,000. That is arithmetic, not a forecast: a single video can get far fewer views than that.

Do I need a lot of followers to get paid per view?

Markapping pays per counted view, not per follower. Each campaign chooses who can join: open to everyone, by application, or invite-only. TikTok's own program works differently: it reportedly needs 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in the last 30 days (Fourthwall).

Can I earn Creator Rewards and a campaign rate on the same video?

Don't plan on it. Fourthwall reports that ads, paid promotions and sponsored content don't qualify for Creator Rewards, and Markapping only counts videos with the paid partnership label on. So for a campaign video, the campaign is the one paying you.

When do I get paid?

View earnings become payable after your video's counting window ends and the checks are done. Bonuses for installs, trials or subscriptions are paid separately, a few days later, when that data comes in. Payout methods will be confirmed before the panels open.

Can I count on a steady income from views?

No. The steps are simple, but nothing is promised. You earn only for views counted inside the campaign's window, at the campaign's rate, up to its limits. A video with 2,000 counted views at $1.00 per 1,000 earns $2 before the fee. It pays for real reach, not for posting.
